A couple of months ago, before I had a chance to play GTA IV, I got into a discussion with an industry insider about Rockstar, and in particular, the Grand Theft Auto franchise. We were talking about whether the polarizing series, much beloved by gamers and reviled by non-gamers, had jumped the shark.

Would this be the last GTA, I wondered. The insider was quick to say no, even after I pointed out that I had watched a chunk of the single-player campaign, which impressed me, but didn't seem to include any giant leaps forward for the franchise.

"Did you see multiplayer?"

"No."

"Just wait."

I can't wait to play the co-op side missions and Cops n Crooks

1) PS Home will include trophy achievements for your house: http://frag-cast.blogspot.com/2008/03/ps3-trophy-system-earn-items-for-your.html
2) No announcements there yet except for some rumors about ps3 dlc in PSW mag.
3) Home will finally bring in-game XMB
4) Dualshock 3 is coming April 15th

Games look incredible on a 1080p lcd but I doubt GTA IV will be higher than 720p, but I can't find anything specific about it.

Yes...I can't wait to play the freeroam on GTA 4....we should get a crew of us together on GTA 4 and kill each other senselessly...ya know with chainsaws and stuff.

The 360 version is getting some exclusive content that MS is paying out the nose to Rockstar for.

I'm still on the fence over getting a PS3 or a 360, but this is something that I'm taking into consideration (I'm a HUGE gta fan...).
