wow, what kind of person gives their son a child size shotgun... and then lets him keep it wherever he wants?!?!?!

there is a reason that we have laws in this country about who can buy a gun...and while I am a proponent for gun freedom (as soon as we do away with it King George III will come back from the dead and invade the US) but its this kind of shit that makes me want to outlaw private gun ownership and leave guns in the hands of the military and law enforcement.

myself, and a few friends had shotguns(or whatever else) that we kept in our rooms when we were 11.. but yeah.. THAT kid shouldn't have had one..

I dont really like the idea of giving the public guns. But if yeh do have them they should be locked away in steel cases fastened down with the ammo seperate.
Giving an 11yr old a gun is plan retarded. Letting them use one under supervision, ok thats understandable. but giving them one and allowing them to keep it in there room.

Considering Gurney and I are probably the resident expert on zombie survival, My house is already undead-proof, so all my kids would have to do is get to my room, which is a few feet across the hall, and get behind me whilst I go Ash Williams on those motherfuckers.  should I happen to go down, they are in reserve to protect their mother and younger siblings.  My boys can have all the melee weapons they want, no firearms.  thats daddys area.  In reality however, I dont think kids should have access to guns at all.

I definitely agree that children under a certain age shouldn't have access to guns period.  And after a certain age, only under strict adult supervision.  I do however feel that children should be taught gun safety at a very early age, just like how you teach them to look both ways before your cross the road.  Its easy enough.  All you have to do is tell them that you don't pick up a gun ever by yourself or point it at anything you don't intend to kill.....sure that means you gota give a talk on death....but it will help drive the point home.
