The only way the Earth is going to survive Humans is either a fundamental shift in the way humans live life.....from parasitic relationship to a symbiotic one......or to eliminate about 5.5 billion of us.....other then that there is no chance.

Can you imagine what the world would look like if we did that...people might actually be forced to concentrate on the bare essentials of life instead of the excessive and wasteful life that a lot of americans live...

BTW as a suggestion for who we start with for elimination...I vote the brainless hollywood types who have no talent at all.

HAHAH there is no way to even discuss this solution without sounding like a crazed supremacist.  Everyone has their own ideas on who is worthy of living and dying.

In the end it will likely be a pandemic that will wipe most of us off the planet...starting with the poor and working it's way up the social ladder.

One of my "Life Goals" is to move up into the Alaskan wilderness and just live a very simple life, subsistence farming and hunting.  Unfortunately I saddled myself with an unbelievable amount of debt so it's going to be a while.

Bankruptcy!!

As far as the green hour goes... I knew about it and chose not to participate. Industry consumes the vast majority of energy use and they are the ones that would have an impact if they shut their shit down for an hour. Plus heating and air conditioning/ refridgerators consume the most residential energy and I know most of the people who participated in this didn't turn their dang AC off...

When does a perceptual schematic become consciousness? When does a difference engine
become the search for truth? When does a personality simulation become the bitter mote... of a soul?

Getting drunk up on the hill huh?? On a date?? And most of your "town" was drunk as well?? Where the hell do you live!??! Sounds like place for me!!

I see a lot of pictures of people burning what I assume are petroleum based candles, which probably produce as much CO2 as turning off a lightbulb for an hour saves.  I didn't do anything because I already live a fairly efficient lifestyleangel

Oh E-rider.... living in your 1 man nudist colony doesn't even count... Just because you choose to flop around nakid and grow your "rosemary" in your closets doesn't make you an environmentalist!! Just makes you a weirdo!  crazy2   Thumbs Up
