I'd be interested to see what the ol' DODS scrim members think about this.  Now that we have a server, its a possibility. CAL is gone, right?

Dead and buried.  Cry Im still hella pissed off about that  knuppel2 I agree it would be interesting to see about a DoD scrim team, but as it stands now, we can barely get 5 people together for a CSS match let alone practice. I know that there are some different people for DoD but its still a nightmare trying to get people assembled for this.

I think it would be a bad move to have a scrim team that shares a public server.
I think this contributed to the old server dieing out the way that it did. The server would get locked up around the busiest time of the day, and all the pubbers would leave.

for 1  we dont even practice anymore to have practice  and 2  we barely get people now cuz people either dedicate themselves to it and then forget all about it  or get the time wrong  .. We could also get 5  for the team  have you looked at the scrim team lol we got enough if we can get more poeple signedup  like fuzzy jewels or whoever else wanted to join great the more the merrier.
as for Dod  would be nice to see but i also agree with what spider commented on  about the busy time.

hahaha, Why so Serious??  Grin  I'd like to see a scrim team.  Time commitment can be an issue but this would be the time for it (summer == no school for most of us).  I always had a beef with our practice schedule: whose idea was it to have them during peak hours?  That could always be changed... and practices don't have to last more than 60-90 mins.  so the servers not locked up that long.  What happened to the threads w/ all the strats?  I hope they didn't get baleeeted.  Cry

But this is all moot if CAL is gone.  Does TWL have a DODS league?  If there's enough support, perhaps a separate private server for scrims?  just a thought.

If there were to be practices and scrims, the team would have to be responsible for a private server, also I'm not sure if there are any active dods leagues anymore, cal is dead and twl dropped it. Maybe Sunlit or ogl are still going.

hm, in that case no thanks.  I'd rather play in a league with lots o teams and skill-brackets than get stuck against some quasi-pro squads.  That's always fun getting mopped  Thumbs Down   bummer. So can we vote for some more stock maps then fellas?  at least inbetween the customs?   angel  Thumbs Up

no worries Rock we can bust out on some realism. Wink

it was alot of work to keep the scrim team going.   i had to do a shit load of scheduling with other teams for practices and matches.  bunch of time spent writing up those strats.  not to mention trying to wrangle a bunch of emotional girly girls.  it was fun though smitten

i still remember most the strats though.

That was me favorite part of it... I mean the strats.  The emotional girls and Decom were fun too tho, in an annoying, yamming little dog kinda way  2funny  I suppose I can get my tactical fix on maps w/ flags and enough flag-cappers.   Thumbs Up

If you bitches bothered to show up to half the shit I scheduled, matches, practices, instead of blowing a lot of teams off it would have been fun.

I think it's been proven that a majority of players don't have the dedication / time necessary to do this even remotely competitively, so don't bother. Thumbs Down
