if anything its better to just stay friends. u can ask, tell her how u feel, shell most likely say no but if ur as good friends as u say it shouldnt do any damage. just try to maintain the friendship
ive been best friends wit this girl for years, and wenever i asked her out she always made up excuses. we stayed close and eventually after a year or so she told me she loved me. i thot we were goin to get together finally, but then some asshole moved in on her after i graduated and wen he asked her out after 2 weeks of knowin each other she said yes immediately. despite the incredibly painful backstab that was and the year of depression ive gone through bcuz of it *happened around halloween last year* we're still friends, unfortunately tho to a lesser degree. we talk much less and i cant say one negative thing about her boyfriend otherwise shell flip on me, but were still close in that we can always talk to each other about what's on our mind. and i seriously mean anythin.
