What are your plans for Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out?  I'm curious if you are going to scrim/compete with this game now that's it's public there will be no dedicated servers.

I already have pre-bought MW2 but I did sign the petition.  I am not currently in a clan so single player games mean more to me than others. With all of the hub bub going on with other games getting delayed until 2010 just because they don't want to compete with MW2, we aren't going to see $%^& until Q1 of next year.  I need something new to keep me engaged with PC gaming.  There hasn't been anything fantastic as of late.

What type of games do you like and which do you already own?  I've been finding a lot titles that I passed on in the first instance are pretty good (and cheaper then when they first came out).  For example, F.E.A.R. 2 and the first STALKER games are pretty good and aren't old enough to look/feel dated.

I purchased FEAR 2 and its DLC during a 25% off sale, and it was worth it at that price point.  I finished the main game and am now working through the DLC.

System Shock 2 was the first horror FPS that I played, and it is the benchmark for me.  Where SS2 was the first FPS/RPG, FEAR2 is a true FPS and succeeds where Doom 3 failed (that game relied way too much on  unfair surprises).  FEAR was better, but FEAR2 is worth it at a reduced price ($30 or less).

Aww I dunno, I kinda liked Doom 3 that way.  Then again, I played it alone in a room w/ all the lights off and headphones so it was pretty damn scary...   Shocked

It seems like there's about a dozen games that have popped up on Steam recently as either discounted old tier-1 games, or intriguing tier-2 games for under $30.  I'd say its a good time to look @ those games while all the other developers wait for the MW2 storm to subside.
