Look, Biden said it best on the campaign trail:  Paying taxes is our patriotic duty.  A standing army to defend us isn't free.  And that's not even the bare minimum a nation needs to provide to it's people.  Running water?  Electricity?  Either Government needs to provide it directly, or regulate the private entities that do.  These "tax activists" that were the base roots of the so-called Tea party (dense, ignorant retards, every one of them needs to move to Somalia so they can see what happens with an openly armed populace and an impotent government) now have some blood on their hands.  The sickest thing is there are still some sick fucks who think this man was a hero.

Which is the fucking problem in the first place. A standing army is a waste--%50-%75 of all US spending is military related right?  Imagine how much money we would save if we pulled out of every foreign post and redeployed our entire armed forces along the US border... hell I bet we could do it with fewer troops than what we have listed on Active Duty!  And its not a patriotic duty to pay taxes.  Its a patriotic duty to represent the public as a Senator or Representative honestly, and not waste our tax revenues on BS.   The savings from reduced military waste spending alone would be enough to support the maintenance of civic projects related to transportation, water, and power lines.

The US has it's problems.  Don't get me wrong.

We have a shitty health care system, for one.  Education is a joke - the system was designed to turn boys into blue-collar workers.  Except, there aren't any blue-collar jobs in the states anymore.  Our teenage birthrates rival that of a poor African nation's (Especially in Texas...).  We're fighting two wars, one illegally started, the other historically impossible to win.  The US's #1 export is Military Technology.  Our politicians are openly corrupt. 

But none of that justifies what this guy did.  What this man did wasn't any more heroic than the 9/11 hijackers - it took balls, sure, but in the end, PEOPLE WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS SITUATION GOT HURT.

Our tax code sucks.  What we pay compared to the services we get doesn't seem that great.  But what about other countries?  Many Northern European countries pay as much as 60% of their income to taxes.  But you don't see them flying into tax offices.

They get Free Health Care For Life (Bush made it harder for people to file for bankruptcy due to medical costs), Free Guaranteed College Education (as much as they want), an Allowance to help pay for a car, the government makes sure you spend as much as a month per year on paid vacation... I can keep going, because there's a TON of social benefits for countries like Finland and Norway.  When all you need to spend your money on is essentials and entertainment, that nearly every accident you could possibly anticipate is already considered and insured... yeah, we wonder why the American life span is the only lifespan expected to decrease while Europeans are expected to continue to get older...

Americans, on average, pay a LOT less than 60% of their income.  If I decide to be self employed, I'll probably have to set aside about 20% of what I make, and maybe I'll see some of that when I retire.  This guy probably didn't, he knew he was supposed to, but chose not to, and decided to hurt people instead of making financial amends.

FUCK HIM.  I wish I could personally defecate on his remains.
