So I'm needing a new monitor here soon, the one I'm using keeps turning on and off after being turned off for half an hour or so (it literally clicks on and off 20-30 times everytime). My price range is roughly 250, one I was strongly considering is this one:
http://www.buy.com/prod/samsung-2333hd-23-widescreen-1080p-lcd-monitor-w-built-in-tv-tuner-10/q/loc/101/212357784.html

I really like Samsung's electronics, as my TV, my Dad's TV, and my brothers living room TV are all Samsungs and they rock.
Ideas? Input? Suggestions? All are appreciated.

My girlfriend's uncle bought a Samsung TV for Christmas.

Now, at random times, the right 10% of the picture get's fuxored.  It's really annoying.  We're gonna deal with customer service, because it should have 12mo parts and labor warranty.

My parents recently got a Vizio.  I like it a lot more than the Samsung right now.

My parents have a Vizo (HDTV) as their computer monitor.  The screen is a little wavy (almost unnoticeable) and the speakers don't work well.  When I use their computer, the speakers drive me crazy.  Thumbs Down
The screen isnt wavy if you use it as a TV though.  idiot2
I dislike it a lot but it may be worth looking in to.

I have a Samsung monitor (not TV) and it has always worked perfectly for me.   Thumbs Up
I have no problems with it and the screen rocks!

as a strictly PC monitor, AOC makes really good ones that are usually cheap, for larger widescreen types.  I have a 3 year old 21" widescreen AOC that is still kicking with 0 dead pixels.  Are you using it for more than your PC or as a TV as well? Having the TV tuner built-in is usually extra cost.

I just got this one for my new PC  Thumbs Up

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001335&Tpk=p2570hd

It has a Tuner and one HDMI and one DVI (1 component and 1 composite too) with a 4ms response time. Works great just some tearing across the top during fast paced games but Vsync fixed that.
I got it for $300 flat from Tigerdirect.

Mostly just for the PC, since I have 32'' Samsung already. I really like the one DS posted up, think that might be the one I go with. The monitor I'm using now is like 5-6 years old, so not terribly heart broken it's dying, it was a good Viewsonic while it lasted.
