At least they tried to save to beer. I would think the beer company would just poor them out and save the cans to recycle them.

I can't put that beer to my lips with out cringing just a little.  free beer is free beer though.

I was taught in law school that if somebody throws something away, it is impossible to steal it. 

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the these workers are fired at the insistence of the company that threw the beer away because the company will be worried that it will lose sales.

It sucks for these guys, who did nothing wrong.  But corporate citizens have more rights than real people.

I don't get the city property thing, another mans trash is another mans treasure..   But they did say one resigned and the other was reprimanded. I remember when I was young I live next to a soda distributor co, and they had shit loads of pallets of damaged product, we would sneak in at night and snag the ones that wasn't damaged. And then recycle the cans for beer money..          Too bad these guys got caught on camera. I think I would have done the same thing though.
