how many times will ppl let this happen?  IDK what the score is but every time a girl trys to travel around the world solo style they end up lost.  its like girl 0 world 5 or something.

its sad.  Should at least have an escort or something.

being out in the middle of the ocean is scray as hell.  just going to Catalina durring semi bad weather would scare the shit out of me....and the puke.

I can't imagine being lost at sea by my self.  Our boat broke down once on the way to catalina it took about an hour to fix but none the less i was tripping out.

Ironically it was her brother  Roll Eyes http://www.thelog.com/news/logNewsArticle.aspx?x=11003
Sounds like their dad is a sailor and owns a Yacht Mgmt company... must have some serious $$ if they get their own mini-sailboats.  In the AP article, they said that the Netherlands courts banned a 13 yr old girl from attempting a solo circumnavigation for saftey issues.  (no duh  uglystupid2)

Sounds like its the hip things for kids to do these days, "Pullin' a Magellan".  Can I get credit for coining that?   Cheesy

They found her.  A plane spotted her boat.  Some high seas broke her mast.  good thing they found her.

And I bet the parents got some serious life Ins on those two..  But for being lost I'm pretty sure they have all the top equipment for navigating around our lil planet. I bet the brother gives her some shit about this. At least the girl will be home safe soon.

Some french cargo ship picked her up.  they are so far out in the ocean its still gonna take a week for her to get to land.

What kinda parents let their 16 yr old child sail around the world solo.  at that age my mom wouldn't let me go to Bob Marley day show in Long Beach....like 5 miles away.

apparently the parents are starting a reality show so this may have been a publicity stunt.  almost losing a child over some damn TV show?Huh? idiot2
