Well Guys, I went today for all the pre-op BS. I go Wednesday for my Knee Replacement. Let me say I'm a nervous wreck. Never had to go through something like this before. I am so tired of being in pain with this bum ass knee of mine so I'm kinda stoked for the pain to be gone. Well at least after all the rehab that I will be doing after the procedure anyway. Everyone keeps telling me I'm kinda young for this, and I just let them know that I always lived like I was still 21, Maybe not a good thing but I had lots of fun.. quote
So I am guessing I will be on some serious pain relief for a week or so. I think I will be in the Hospital for only a few days at the most. Unless they give really good sponge baths, and they I mean some sexy ass nurse with a strong set of hands..  Butt Strokin

The days of hot nurses are gone. You'll most likely get a pear shaped one with some ugly ass short hair cut that makes her think her face is less round.

I called my Doc about getting my other knee done. My other knee is healed enough I feel to go ahead and get the other one done.. It wont be until some time in Jan. I went and talked to my boss about it yesterday. It just feels weird not working and I'm nervous about my job, but he told me no worries that I have a home here. So I'm going to go through with it to get it behind me so I can get back to the real world..  I'm just not ready for the month of pain I went through with the first one. At least I know what to expect this time.          Wink

Late reply, but...good luck.  Although I've never had anything on this scale done, I can understand and agree with the 'just get it over with' sentiment.  When I got my wisdom teeth out, I had all 4 done at once, with just local anesthesia so I wouldn't have that anesthesia hangover and could go right back to work the next day.

My dad would probably agree as well - he had to have surgery on both shoulders, but kept putting off the second, much less severe one for about 7 years.  He ended up practically destroying it by continuing to use it and just working through the pain.  What would have been, like the first surgery, a relatively minor operation with a couple weeks' recovery time instead had to be a pretty big operation with 8 months recovery, during half of which his arm was uselessly kept in a sling, and lots of expensive and time consuming physical therapy.

So yeah...get that shit taken care of, and get back on your feet.  Thumbs Up
