As much as I would like to buy a tonneau cover with it for my truck I will probably use it to pay off my credit card. Or use some of it to buy my plane ticket from when I go on leave.

I only write checks to Uncle Sam. I don't think I've had a "refund" in over a decade.
But I really can't complain.
FYI, guys, pay off your credit cards! Don't carry debt. It's crazy to do so.
Things are going to get a LOT harder in the US over the next few years, so prepare by getting rid of the debt. Don't let the banks get their hooks in.

The only things to put on credit are an Education, a House, and an economical car. In that order.
One thing that surprised me last year was the Obama Student bonus I got for being in massage school. The extra grand helped a lot. I think I'm still eligible for it on this return as well. Much better than the "stimulus" that Bush gave us that was actually just a down payment on your next income return.
Still, this is my first time filing as an independent contractor. I'm scared shitless.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition! I got one for FREE and just redid my PC Q9650 2.83ghz and 6gbs of ram!!!  I have not gotten my return but it's around 5k. My wife will put it into the house  I'm hoping to get $200 to get a new video card. |
