Does anyone have HBO?  I've got some non-nerd friends that rave about it, and tell me its right up my SciFi/D&D/Geek alley.  Is it any good?

Really pretty good show. Decent amount of nice boobage, pretty good humor, involving story. I've missed 1 episode so far since it premiered but one of my favorite characters got killed in this last one (no spoilers, wont say who it is).

I think its great, can't wait to watch them.
You gotta read the books though, they are even better.
I think HBO has been doing a good job capturing the book, at least so far.
Hope they keep it up though the whole series.
Of course the series is another distraction so Martin can delay the writing of the books - Damn him!

Game of Thrones is a great series.  The first two books were really good, too, and the series seems to be faithfully following the first book.

I got tired of the book series at the third book, when I realized that the books are kind of like the Austin Powers movies: the same movie, with the same jokes, repeated from a different point of view.

But definitely a great 10 episode run . . . the seaon finale is on tonight.

FYI - the series is probably my favorite since the first season of the recent Battlestar Galactica.

watched the episode 10 last night, its a great show that stays true to the book as far as I can remember it...im going to re-read the series this summer so that I'm ready for next season  rockon

Haven't read a book since the J.R.R Tolkien books. Only books that had to deal with fixing something. Watched a episode with the wife and I agree with this being a good story. I will have to get the book and read it, then down load the series and watch it from the beginning.  cheers
