I don't know if this has been posted or asked before so I am asking it (again if it was already asked, then sorry about it if it was).  

How did you come up with your game name that you use?

I have to break mine down

DRILL_SGT = I was a Drill Sergeant for 3 Years

_P = The First letter in my last name

_02 = The year I started on the trail (slang in the military for actually perfoming duties as a Drill Sergeant)

_mpx- when making my email i couldnt have other things i wanted and mpx sounded cool so i added it and vuala.

Whenever I have a game on my computer, and need to create a user name or perform a save with a save-name, I always use "Dad" since my two older boys will often play the same games and I've done it to avoid confusion.  When I bought Half-life II, I had to create a Steam Account, so I used "Dad" out of habit.  When I bought DOD:Source, I figured  "Why change?"  It's kind of stuck.  I like my in-game name.  

When I enter a game on one of the BDS servers, I usually wait until I get killed the first time and then I type "Hey kids".  I love seeing all the replies "Hi Dad!"  Makes me feel all warm and squishy inside.

Alright so the older members know the story behind my name but for all you new guys here it is again. It all came about when I got married, when me and the wife (sara) went on our honeymoon we were doing the nono and it came to be about that time for me( she was on her knees facing the wall) so I pulled out and let it go. It was odd becuase I have had really bad luck at this point, its like he has an auto targeting system and aims for the face eyes or head and I just so happen to hit her in the back of the head. So the story got to my buddies and family and the all started calling me gunner becuase of my great velocity and aiming system.

That is how I got my name.   :shock:

My original name of Tinkerbell spawned from 1.6, when I was sniping for a very good clan. I was exceptionally good and was consistenly called out as a hacker and such. I decided I needed a name that was embarrassing to die to  and funny. The beauty of the name was that not only was it embarrassing to get owned by, people couldn't make fun of it because I picked it voluntarily. People would say, "Tinkerbell, what a gay name!" and I would respond with, "Yeah, it is! Sucks that you just got the shit kicked out of you by it!" It also has that slight irony because I'm pretty big, so it had that effect too.

When I got Source, I sucked again. It was a new game with new physics and I got my ass kicked. I decided that Tinkerbell wasn't going to cut it, since it didn't hold that pretige anymore, and I didn't want to forever ruin the name. I had recently watched Zathura, an extremely shitty movie but with one good part. There is this scene where this little kid says to a robot, "Gimme a juicebox, biatch!" (That sound I play in the servers is cut from the movie). I was desperately trying to come up with another name and I saw that and I thought it was great! So there it is, and it stuck.

[Father Gene Loves The Cock]

I have just about been using the name Father Gene since 1.6.  Now as some of you may think I am, I truly am not that religious. The local church that I went to had a youth group that I got involved with. Basically, we all sat around bullshitting and planned cool activities that we could do. One of the priests who came to these meetings was a man named Father Gene. He was a blind priest, but I guess he enjoyed coming to these meetings to be with us. My friend thought it would be cool if used his name in DOD. Well, me being the jackass that I am decided to listen to him. I guess I really chose it to be different and I mean how many people have a priests name as their DOD name. Then Father Gene died in 2003 and since I already had the name, I figured I would keep it. A lot of people get the impression that when they see Father Gene that my real name is Gene. Nope not at all. The real name is Mike and completely different.

Anyway, that's how I got my name :-D
